Open when you can’t sleep.
It’s probably late.
Your room is quiet, your thoughts are loud, and for some reason everything feels a little more emotional at night.
I know those nights. The ones where your brain won’t switch off no matter how tired you are.
Maybe you’re overthinking. Maybe you miss home. Maybe you miss us. Or maybe you’re just feeling a little lonely being so far away from everything familiar.
I wish I was there beside you right now my darl
I wish we were doing what we’d normally do, you talking about random things half asleep, watching something neither of us are paying attention to, or just existing quietly together probably on our phones until we drift off.
I miss those moments a lot.
Right now, your only job is to rest.
Put your phone down for a minute after this. Get comfortable. Put on a comfort show or some music. Imagine we’re on FaceTime falling asleep together like normal.
And if you still can’t sleep, just remember this:
There’s someone on the other side of the world thinking about you, loving you, and counting down the days until you’re home again.
You are never as alone as you feel in moments like this.
Sleep well, my love. I’ll still be here tomorrow hopefully.
